Wikitextbook writing basic tutorial

First things first: make sure you know about the topic you're writing about!

The basic text can be copied and pasted in from any source, such as Word or Adobe Acrobat. Once the text is on the page you must add the formatting to make the page look like you want it to. You can use the buttons on the top left of the editing window.


There are three types of headings that you can use in the article:

Image:button_headline.png This will make the text headline.

Image:button_bold.png This will make the text bold.

Image:button_italic.png This will make the text italic.


To make text start on a new line you must press enter twice and to leave a line gap between text you must press enter three times.


You can use bullet points by starting each line with an * (remember to press enter twice to start each bullet point on a new line)


Image:button_link.png Allows you to link to other WikiTextbook pages. If you put a word or words into this link and the page does not yet exist, WikiTextbook will automatically create a new page for it.


Image:button_extlink.png Allows you to link to other websites.


Image:button_image.png You can insert images that are in WikiTextbook. You can upload your own images from here.
