You are getting a lot of spam it seems. I just reverted some. On an unattended site like this isn't it just obvious common snese to implement a captcha for page edits??!

Captchas are effective against robot spam, I think this is being pasted in by hand. Requiring user subscription would work, but that will seriously inhibit participation. Would it be worthwhile looking at the takeup rate on some of the empty sections and deleting them? The spammers seem to prefer pre-existing pages to creating their own, so this might limit their opportunities and reduce the overhead of cleaning up after them. Ian
